About Pompeii Tours from Naples
An independent comparison of the twelve bookable Pompeii tours from Naples that reach the Archaeological Park, 22 kilometres down the coast. We read tour listings, official park information and the region's own fare tables, and we put them next to each other. We do not operate or personally conduct these tours, run vehicles, hold bookings or take payments. The listings sit on the Pompeii tours comparison, and every figure on this site carries the date it was last read.
Why this site exists
On 12 January 2026 the Archaeological Park of Pompeii replaced its single day ticket with two: Pompeii+ at €25, which includes the Villa of the Mysteries, and Pompeii express at €20, which does not. Eight months later, the page ranking first for "Pompeii tours from Naples" still prints €27.50 for a ticket and recommends a train that EAV has announced it is suspending from 1 October 2026.
None of this is hidden. It is on pompeiisites.org, on eavsrl.it and in the operators' own inclusion lists. Reading those three sources and putting the result next to the price is the entire job of this site.
Where the facts come from
Tour prices, durations, ratings, review counts, inclusions, minimum group sizes and age limits are read off each operator's own listing on the date shown, in US dollars, and every tour page carries the same fields in the same order. Tour listings checked: 29 August 2026, when ten of the twelve were showing a discounted price.
Ticket grades, prices, opening hours, the daily admissions cap and the time-slot quotas come from the Archaeological Park of Pompeii's own site, pompeiisites.org. Rail fares come from Unico Campania's fare finder and its published fare schedule; the Campania Express suspension comes from EAV's own notice. Each is dated where it appears.
Where an operator states something inconvenient in its own words — a live guide only from six participants, a fifty-minute stop at a shopping outlet, entry tickets included only on some options — we quote the wording rather than smooth it over. Review quotes carry the reviewer's name, country and travel month exactly as published.
What we do not do
We have never claimed to run these tours or to have a desk in Naples. There is no invented guide persona on this site and no photograph of a founder. What there is instead is a date on every number and a named source for every rule.
We also do not print a figure we could not check. Where a listing says nothing — the grade of ticket, the arrival time, the group size — the tour page says "Not stated on the listing" rather than filling the gap with a guess.
How the site earns
Links to tours are affiliate links. If you book through one, the platform may pay us a commission at no additional cost to you: the price you pay is the platform's price, whether you arrive through this site or not. Links to the park's own ticket office are plain links and always will be — nothing on pompeiisites.org or vivaticket carries a tracking parameter from us.
Commission does not decide the order of the comparison table or which tour is named as our pick. The $38 tour that meets you at the gate earns us less than any packaged day here, and it is the one recommended to anybody who can reach Pompeii on the train.
Corrections
Prices move, trains get suspended, houses inside the site close for conservation. If something here has gone stale, tell us and we will re-check it against the source and change the date on the page.
